The leadership team at Providence Rest is a unique blend of our Sisters of St. John the Baptist, highly skilled medical professionals and administrative personnel with decades of experience. They combine to provide total care for our residents and patients, tending to not only their physical and mental well being but their spiritual health, as well.

Sister Seline Mary Flores

Sister Seline Mary Flores, CSJB

Sister Seline has been serving as our Chief Executive and spiritual leader since 2010 following her appointment as Administrator in 1995. She is responsible for leading all aspects of Providence Rest’s activities to ensure faithfulness to our mission. Sr. Seline has been a member of the congregation of the Sisters of St. John the Baptist for more than 50 years and in that time has taught high school biology and served as administrator of St. John Villa Academy in Staten Island, local superior of the Baptistine retirement/infirmary convent in Purchase and as Provincial Vicar. Sr. Seline holds a certificate in Health Care Ethics from the National Catholic Bioethics Center, a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Hunter College and a Master of Public Administration degree from Pace University.

Leslie oversees every stage of the pre-admission process, as well as to encourage referral activities and maintain hospital and community relations.She ensures the proper criterion is met to ensure a seamless transition for patients, residents and families.

Rosemarie Hofstein

Rosemarie Hofstein

Rosemarie is responsible for overseeing a team of social workers who deliver on-site onsite medical Social Services to residents and patients, serving as their advocate to deliver the highest level of psychological, emotional and spiritual well being. She oversees preparation for their transition back to the community. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in social work from Fairleigh Dickinson University (NJ) and a Master’s degree in social work from Fordham University. She is certified by New York State to practice as a Licensed Master Social Worker and has over 30 years of experience in the field with Providence Rest.

Karen Loberas

Karen Loberas

Karen is responsible for directing our Rehabilitation services, including coordinating efficient and effective operation of the department while ensuring compliance with state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols. She is licensed to practice as an occupational therapist in New York and is certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.

Michelle Luchetti

Michelle Luchetti

Michelle and her team provide our residents with meaningful therapeutic recreation programs that enhance their daily lives while stimulating the six domains of therapeutic recreation – physical, cognitive, emotional, social, behavior, leisure, and play. She also coordinates with other departments, including Nursing and Food Service, to provide interdisciplinary programs which engage both residents and staff and facilitate communication. Michelle has been with us for about 13 years and holds a bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University.
I am passionate about the joy we get to bring our residents every day and the difference we make in their lives.
